Hi! My name is Amit and I welcome you at the Photon Quill blog. The name is something that I finalized keeping in mind that photons ( quanta of light ) is coming from the screen to your eyes and are hopefully able to instigate your mind, emotions, and your senses in a positive and productive way! ( especially when you read my blog posts, I hope you end up liking them and keep reading them! ) . One of my friend is blind and while he consumes the content using a screenreader ( also many of you who might be using a different technology to consume contents as well ), I still believe and hope to carve Photon Quill in a manner such that the content is enjoyable and accessible by all!

I like to own books ! ( damn, it hurts to even write this but the fact is I buy a shit ton of books but I end up reading only a few of them ). I like to write a bit of poetry and short stories, and I also draw! The purpose of this blog is to share these and some of the musings of mind with you all – and hopefully you as a reader enjoy this format .

Another interesting reason why I am investing my time on this project is I am not an author ( I mean technically I can claim that I am! but my area of work is rather academic – I will share more about me if you are interested ! ) but I want the world to know the other side of me, read my work and the way I perceive things, hopefully share my work and get inspired to either criticize me out of it or appreciate me enough to bring me in!!!

Some might say why not join a bookclub or how is this project different from any other book blog – my response to that is : maybe to do the same in a more effective manner and also to share my own original material? These days, any similar platform charges subscriptions to form a closed nit community! I am against this ideology and I believe keeping things free. I want you to invest your money in buying or accessing books rather than buying a blog subscription – I hope I am making sense here. I also don’t endorse that this blog will be the best place for you to be in – I am not a know it all! person but I want you as a reader to get something good and meaningful experience out of my blog without extorting money from your pockets. In case of encountering any money glitch, I would rather beg you guys to donate rather than putting my content behind any paywall!

I am against using AI in any way possible for creating my content – however if I ever do I will always acknowledge it. For example, I am currently in the process of designing a logo and my caricature for the blog and until that finalizes , I am going with a ChatGPT generated image instead!

Finally, a disclaimer – I am not a literary guy, I am hungry for knowledge so I read and consume a lot of things – about which I just want to share my thoughts and synopsis with you all.
